Our houses are intended for elderly people in reasonable health. We offer equal access to all eligible people regardless of gender, family or financial circumstances, race, colour or religion. Priority is given to applicants in greatest need of the housing and care we offer.
The houses are not registered care homes and we cannot provide personal care such as help with bathing and dressing; however, such extra care may be brought in.
Rooms
We offer the following types of room:
Bedsitting room (£231 - £236 per week)
Bedsitting room with shower (£252 p.w.)
Two-room flatlet (£305 p.w.)
Two-room flatlet (double occupancy) (£415 p.w.)
All our rooms have en-suite toilets, and half of the rooms now have en-suite showers, with more planned, as funds and the preference of existing residents allow.
We now have three 2-room flatlets, meeting the wishes of many intending residents to have separate bedroom and lounges: in due course, we plan to increase the number of these two room units.
The modest weekly charge covers accommodation, catering, heating, lighting, laundry, room cleaning and Council Tax. Telephone charges, TV licence where needed and insurance of residents’ possessions are not included.
Capital
developments are financed largely by special fundraising effort, not
from charges to residents: another reason why our charges are so modest
Residents are eligible for Housing Benefit and Supporting People
subsidy, subject to their financial position.
Availability depends upon current occupancy - please see the Contact Us page to make an enquiry.
