Who can apply for residency with Abbeyfield Bromley?
We welcome retired elderly people who are in reasonable health, regardless of their gender, family or financial circumstances, race, colour or religion. We invite applications from all sections of the local community.
Do I have to live locally to be considered for a place?
You don’t have to live locally, but having regular contact with one or more family members and friends is a great advantage, so you stay in touch with the local community.
Does Abbeyfield Bromley provide nursing care?
We are not a rgistered care or nursing home, and cannot provide help with bathing, dressing or medication, but such care may be bought in privately.
What if I become dependent upon nursing care in the future?
If, in future, you require more personal or nursing care than we can provide, we will discuss the options with you and your sponso in good time, so that you can make suitable accommodation arrangements.
Can I visit before making a decision?
You are welcome to visit our Houses and discuss possible residence with committee members staff and residents. If you wish to proceed, you will be invited to spend two weeks as a paying guest, without commitment to either party.
Are pets allowed?
No, unfortunately, we cannot accept pets at Abbeyfield Bromley.
