Volunteering
The unique quality and range of our services are only possible because of the experience, skills and commitment of our volunteers.
Our volunteers fill every post in our Executive and House committees and include the Trustees who are legally responsible for the Society’s affairs. They also contribute enormously to the friendly family atmosphere of each house, helping and befriending our residents and organising the programme of social events.

Salaried Staff
We rely on our small team of salaried staff; they include two housekeepers, two deputies, cooks, a laundry assistant and a cleaner. They are highly valued and work in a great team atmosphere.
All our staff receive full training initially, are part of a pensions scheme and a bonus scheme which rewards outstanding performance. Our vacancies are advertised locally and senior appointments nationally (usually in The Lady).
